Southbourne Holiday Lets Terms and Conditions

The terms and conditions listed below take effect from payment of deposit.

DepositA 20% deposit is required to secure dates and is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. Your booking is not secured until deposit is received and confirmation email has been sent.

Security deposit. A £200 pre-authorisation of your payment card will be processed on the day of your arrival and set against any damage to the property or its contents. On your departure day this pre-authorisation will be released less any charge for damages.

Guests. Any/all guests (including dogs) staying in the property must be identified as part of the booking process. Age of children and breed of dog(s) are requested to enable us to ensure accommodation is set up to best suit everyone’s needs.

Please adhere to all notices displayed around the property, they are designed to benefit your stay and for others staying after you.

Covid-19.

Lockdown – In the event of national or local lockdowns coinciding with your booking dates your booking is transferable or refundable. As a small business we would ask where possible that you look to transfer your dates however we will provide a refund where this doesn’t suit.

Updated 07/02/21  Symptoms/ Self-isolation – We ask that you take out a travel insurance policy that covers you against any requirement to cancel your booking in the build up to your stay due to guest(s) suffering from Covid-19 symptoms or needing to self-isolate. As I’m sure you will appreciate, as a small business we have been hit hard by the pandemic over the last year, so with these policies now easily available we would ask that, in the event that you are unable to stay due to illness or self-isolation that you claim your money back via your insurance. As a result, we will no longer be offering a refund or transfer of dates for bookings made after this date.

During holiday – in the event that a guest/guest develop symptoms/need to self-isolate during their stay we ask that you look to arrange to travel home (in private transport) as soon as possible having notified us of the situation. No refunds will be due for any unused days, though you may be able to claim for this on your insurance. In the unlikely event that a stay needs to be extended past your booked holiday dates, due to return travel not being possible, additional dates will be charged for at full rate plus the cost incurred of moving any other bookings affected.

Facilities/local area – All bookings are made and accepted in the knowledge that there may be disruption to local attractions, shops, pubs and cafes/restaurants. We cannot be held responsible for any matters outside of our control during these unprecedented times.

Travel Insurance. We would strongly advise purchasing your own travel insurance.

Prices. Prices include  linen, towels, heating, water, WIFI and welcome pack but may be subject to additional charges in the event of breaches of these Booking Terms.

Amendments. To amend or cancel your booking please call us on 07984 789635 or email enquiries@southbourneholidaylets.com

Cancellation. If you book direct with us and then decide to cancel your booking within 60 days of the arrival date we will normally charge for any losses arising from the cancellation, up to 100% of the booking total. If we are able to secure a new booking for your dates we will offer a refund up to the full value of the new booking. If you cancel your booking before 60 days, then your deposit will normally be lost or can be held as payment against a future booking if a new booking can be secured (subject to availability and in that calendar year).

Arrival & Departure. The property is available from 4pm on day of arrival and must be vacated by 9.30am on day of departure unless otherwise agreed with owner.

Smoking is prohibited inside the property and on decked area/around hot tub (Hengistbury Reach).

No stag or hen parties or other events.

Key collection information and check in arrangements will be given upon receipt of final payment.

Location. Situated in quiet residential areas guests are requested to respect neighbours and to keep noise to a minimum at all times both inside and outside of the properties.

Hot Tub (Hengistbury Reach). Whilst we will do everything possible to ensure the hot tub is fully functioning throughout the duration of your stay this cannot be guaranteed and is not grounds for a refund/ reduced payment. Please also be aware that the water temperature on arrival day may not have had time to heat up to optimum temperature.

Inspection. We reserve the right to inspect the premises during any holiday let. Where the hot tub is being used we will visit every 2-3 days to check water and chemical levels. (Hengistbury Reach)

Termination of contract. We will terminate any holiday let should there be evidence of ‘disturbance’ within the property, any illegal activity, extensive damage and vandalism to the property or public disorder offence involving the police. In this instance, there will be no refund of monies paid in lieu of accommodation. We thank you for your cooperation.
