Welcome to Southbourne Holiday Lets

Based on the south coast of England in Southbourne Dorset near the Hampshire border, and situated between Bournemouth and Christchurch, within 2 – 3hrs drive from the likes of London and Birmingham, stay in one of our holiday lets and enjoy all of the fantastic local amenities, with easy access to the hustle and bustle of Bournemouth town. If getting out in the open is more your thing then as well as blue flag sandy beaches you can explore Hengistbury Head and The New Forest.

We currently have two wonderful holiday lets to choose from, both having been finished and decorated to a very high standard and in great locations within easy walking distance to local amenities and sandy beaches. We pride ourselves with our attention to detail and standard of cleanliness to make your stay with us unforgettable.

Both of our properties are family and dog friendly. Mindful of the amount of ‘stuff’ young children and/or dogs need we have taken care of this for you and provide the following;

Young children – travel cot, bed guard, high chair, stair gate**, beach equipment, age appropriate toys & games, plastic plates, bowls & cutlery.

Dogs* – Dog crate (large or small), dog towel, throw, doggy treats, poo bags & ball.

A babysitting and/or dog sitting service (DBS/first aid trained) is available on request subject to availability (additional charges will apply).  Should any specific dates be required it is best to contact us in advance of your stay to arrange.

Hengistbury Reach is a new build two-bedroom bungalow, with the master bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and a second bedroom with additional toilet on the first floor. It has an open plan living area with full sized kitchen and a generously sized fully enclosed garden with feature lit Jacuzzi hot tub, and is located on the Christchurch side of Southbourne and within a short walk of both Hengistbury Head and the River Stour. It is ideal for couples and friends, as well as families, looking to spend time outdoors and in nature.

Stourcliffe Retreat is a character recently renovated 1^st floor apartment centrally located between Southbourne beach and its thriving local high street. Perfect for couples, friends & small families..

With so much to explore our holiday lets are available to book 365 days a year. Depending on seasonality and celebrations we like to add little extras by way of decorations for example. Hengistbury Reach is very popular for birthdays & anniversaries where, if you let us know on booking, we will add a celebration banner over the hot tub for your arrival. If there is anything specific you require please let us know and we will do our best to help.

We are great believers in putting as much effort in with the small things, so as well as being beautifully furnished and well equipped you may also find a freshly baked local treat upon arrival, and with the milk in the fridge you can start to enjoy your stay from the start with tea and cake.

*Dogs – whilst welcome at both properties we would highly recommend Hengistbury Reach where the fully enclosed garden is directly accessible via patio doors. At Hengistbury Reach 3 dogs are welcome….at Stourcliffe Retreat it is more suited to 1 small/medium dog as the garden is not directly accessible from the property. Please advise of number and breed of dogs when booking.

** A stairgate is provided at Hengistbury Reach at the top of the stairs. It is not possible to fit a stair gate at Stourcliffe Retreat as this would go against fire, health and safety guidelines so please do consider if the 1^st floor nature of this property is suited to your family’s needs.
